Dr. Casey O'Donnell has worked as a software engineer and project manager both in and out of the videogame industry. He has done scientific data visualization work for Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) funded by the California Institute of Technology (CalTech). He worked for a videogame development company in La Jolla, California doing 3D sound system work for the Nintendo 64, Playstation, and Windows and Mac OS computers. He worked for an Autodesk subcontractor doing design automation and tools development. His research has spanned studios from Vicarious Visions to RedOctane in India and has been funded by the NSF and NIH. He has presented at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) and at meetings of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). He is currently the Athens Chapter President of the Georgia Game Developers Association (GGDA) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Telecommunications.
